![]() Neither is really a replacement for the R1800 because the R1800 is a pigment-ink printer and the 1500 / Artisan 1430 and XP-15000 are dye-ink printers.ĭo you need or prefer a pigment-ink printer? IMO the reasons to get one are (1) you want to print a lot on matte and 'art' papers, some of which do not work well with dye inks and/or (2) you want the greater fade resistance of pigment inks. The Epson 1500 (Artisan 1430 in the U.S.) has been discontinued. So anyone any experience with 1500W? as I said I am after quality the same or better. The black in the middle is more than just a clogged head, magenta & cyan no print at all, yes they are new genuine cartridges, I have used many cleaning kits including injecting cleaner through the nozzles, judging by the black, every other line blank I would say no signal of any kind getting to all the nozzles, no idea whats up with yellow today, yesterday it was fine. ![]() ![]() I have still not replaced the R1800 but after 12 years it really needs to go, I think its done well but. ![]() ![]() Hi again, I know my thread is old but it seemed pointless to start a new one to ask the same question ![]()
